Easter Eggs and Bacon: Holiday Brunch at Avalon and White Dog Cafe

Put away the oven gloves and forget about doing the dishes. These two restaurants have Easter brunch all taken care of.

This is the perfect week to get your plans together for Easter and make some reservations. We’re sure to hear more as the weeks go on, but here are some ideas to get your brain brunch-oriented for Easter morning.

Avalon in West Chester is hosting an Easter brunch from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. with prices starting at $30 per person. The three-course, prix fixe brunch sounds absolutely amazing, and guests will be able to choose from a lengthy menu of options. For appetizers, we think the chilled pea soup with lump crabmeat sounds great, as does the prosciutto and fresh melon salad with balsamic reduction. For entrées, try the brioche French toast with fresh berries and mascarpone, butter-poached shrimp with white beans and spinach or the truffle, egg and potato flatbread. Desserts will also be offered, as well as a complimentary Bloody Mary bar, but bring your own vodka to this BYO. Call (610) 436-4100 to make a reservation.

The White Dog Cafe in Wayne will also be open for brunch, and they’re even opening at 9:30 a.m. to get the festivities rolling an hour earlier than usual. Call (610) 225-3700 to make a reservation.
