Citron and Rose Debuts New Winemaker Series Jump-Starting with California’s Herzog Wine Cellars

Herzog Wine Cellars’ innovative winemaker Joe Hurliman will travel to the East Coast to co-host the upcoming five-course tasting alongside Citron’s executive chef Karen Nicolas.

Merion Station’s Citron and Rose preps to debut their brand-new winemaker series, with Oxnard, California’s award-winning Herzog Wine Cellars kicking off the wine-pairing events on Wed., July 24th.

Herzog Wine Cellars’ innovative winemaker Joe Hurliman will travel to the East Coast to co-host the upcoming five-course tasting alongside Citron’s executive chef Karen Nicolas. Together, the duo will debut an inventive tasting menu that’ll be well-curated with tailored wine pairings and a thorough California wine education.

Teases of the chef’s attractive menu include buckwheat blinis served with chive custard and tomato caviar, fluke crudo with summer melons, crispy squash blossoms and mustard curd, and spiced duck with barley porridge, pickled plums and borscht sauce. The evening will conclude with a signature dessert, too—an almond panna cotta presented shaved coconut, lemon verbena and muscat ice.

Cost is $125 per person (tax and gratuity included) and seats are limited.
