Chef Jose Garces and Éclat Chocolate's Chris Curtin Launch a Line of Chocolate Bars

(Photo by Brett Thomas)Master chocolatier Christopher Curtin’s confections at West Chester’s Éclat Chocolate are some of the best anywhere, and now he’s teamed up with chef Jose Garces to create Garces Trading Company Chocolate Bars. Choose from four selections: a Marcona almond dark chocolate bar with spiced paprika; a porcini-and-thyme version made with porcini powder and organic thyme-infused white chocolate; a Mole Amarillo variety that combines milk chocolate with a pepper-and-sesame-seed blend; and a café con leche (Spanish for “coffee with milk”) bar that mixes milk chocolate with Garces’ own Reserva coffee. The bars are $8 each and available for purchase at Garces Trading Company (11th and Locust streets, Philadelphia) and the Garces Coffee Kiosk at the Cira Centre.
