Celebrating Oktoberfest: Ardmore and Narberth Bring the German Tradition to the Main Line

Share

The Main Line is doing its share to celebrate the German tradition of Oktoberfest, with festivities that are perfect for the whole family.

On Sept. 24, you’ll want to check out Ardmore Oktoberfest on Cricket Avenue. Taking place from noon to 4 p.m., the event will feature lots of food and, of course, lots of German and American beer. Entertainment will go until 8 p.m., with plenty of kid-friendly activities. Admission is free, but expect to pay-as-you-go for food and drinks. Visit ardmoreoktoberfest.com.

Look for Narberth Oktoberfest on Oct. 1 from 5 to 9 p.m. Guests can enjoy a pig roast, pretzels, brats, sauerkraut, plenty of local beer, and much more under festival tents in Narberth Park. Afterward, music will lead the way to downtown Narberth, where the party continues at the local bars. Tickets cost $35 and benefit both the Narberth Volunteer Fire Company and the Narberth Dickens Festival. Visit narberthonline.com.
