Celebrate Leap Day at Kennett Winterfest

What’s a better way to spend the extra day this leap year than at the eighth annual Kennett Winterfest? Taking place Feb. 29 from 12:30-4 p.m., over 60 local breweries, cideries and even ameadery are among this year’s participants. 

Beer enthusiasts can enjoy unlimited two-ounce pours from the likes of 2SP Brewing,Autumn Arch Beer Project, Braeloch Brewing, Conshohocken Brewing, Evil Genius Beer Comapny, Iron Hill Brewery, Levante Brewing, Ship Bottom Brewery, Tired Hands Brewing, and Workhorse Brewery, among others.

Joining the impressive brewery lineup will be a selection of area favorite food trucks likeAbuelitas Empanadas, Dia Doce, Frankly Deep Hot Sauce, George & Son’s Seafood, Natalie’s Fine Foods, The Polish Connection and Southbound BBQ.

There will also be live music throughout the day from the Amanda and the Teddy Thomas Band.

For fans who can’t wait until the 12:30 p.m. start time, this year’s Def Conn 1.7 preview event begins at 11:15 a.m. and includes preferred tasting with Rotunda Brewing Company, plusgourmet food from Talula’s Table in a heated tent. 

The ticketed event will take place on South Broad Street in Kennett Square and is 21 and over. Proceeds will benefit Historic Kennett Square, the nonprofit responsible for programs likeLight up the Square, the Kennett Square Farmers Market, Third Thursdays on State Street and restaurant week.
