Blackfish Offers Two Decadent Dining Experiences

To celebrate 12/12/12, a five-course lunch does the trick. If you’re worried about the world ending before Christmas, devour all the luscious treats you can at the restaurant’s “End of the World” dinner.

Thank goodness we get a special date like Dec. 12, 2012 this year, if for no other reason than to celebrate with a fantastic 12/12/12 lunch at 12:12 p.m. On that Wednesday, Chip Roman is hosting a “Best of Blackfish” lunch with some of Roman’s signature dinner dishes from the past six years—that’s some good eatin! For $95  (includes tax and gratuity), diners will be treated to a luscious five-course meal, with items like a liquid-center foie gras terrine, Blackfish surf and turf with braised short ribs and diver scallops, and cheeses and dessert, to name only a few. There will only be one seating that day, so guests are asked to call and reserve one of only 50 spots, and arrive promptly at 11:45 a.m.

If you can’t make it out for lunch on Dec. 12, there’s always the “End of the World” dinner on Dec. 20, which is designed around the Mayan calendar, which ends on the Dec. 21. Many have prophesized that’s when the world will end, but we see it as another excuse to treat ourselves to a fantastic meal. The eight-course meal will feature some of the most expensive food items from around the world, like royal ossetra caviar, foie gras and black truffles, lobster, Kobe beef and much more. There will be seatings from 6-10 p.m. and 60 guests will be accommodated at each one (the meal should take about three hours). The cost is $169 per person, which includes tax and gratuity, and a reservation is also required. Don’t forget to bring plenty of wine, as Blackfish is a BYOB. Call (610) 397-0888 to reserve your spot to either of these events.
