April Dining News Across the Main Line’s Restaurant Scene

A European-style bakery in Ridley Park, a bottle shop in Ardmore and more add to the Main Line region's dining scene in April.

According to Raisa and Illya Zayarchenko, love and passion are essential ingredients to any recipe. It’s why the native Ukrainians named their cozy corner spot Ardour Bakery + Coffee. A small sandwich menu covers breakfast and lunch—but it’s the croissants, turnovers, muffins and cookies that truly live up to the moniker. The signature pavlova (a meringue shell topped with whipped cream and fruit) and the heart-shaped mini cheesecakes pair well with an espresso-themed drink. More Nibbles: Have fun sipping—and stay sober—at Wallace Dry Goods, which has opened a tasting room and bottle shop in Ardmore. Delaware’s Del Pez Mexican Gastropub has hopped the border into Glen Mills. Taking over the former Bertucci’s location in Concordville Town Center, the Newark-based Hakuna Hospitality Group has kept the menu options similar to existing locations (think tacos, fajitas, nachos and killer guac) while adding Detroit-style pan pizzas.
