5 Reasons to Hit Phoenixville for Blobfest 2014

From Blob-themed beer to ’50s-inspired dinners, Phoenixville is ready to celebrate.

Blobfest is back and better than ever! Phoenixville’s three-day-long event, hosted by The Colonial Theatre in commemoration of the 1958 horror classic The Blob, will take place July 11-13. The fun-filled fest features screenings of The Blob and other horror classics, a re-enactment of the film’s theater run out sequence, competitions, a street fair, themed food and drink events, and much more.

The Run Out. The Blobfest Run Out is the must-see event of the weekend. Gather outside The Colonial Theatre Friday, July 11, at approximately 9 p.m. to watch as theater-goers dramatically (and hilariously) reenact the infamous scene from the film. If you’re one of the lucky ones who has tickets to be inside the theater for this already sold-out event, the festivities start at 7 p.m.
