Conshy's Isabella and Philly's Amada Go Whole Hog with Pork-Themed Menus

For the month of March, both restaurants feature an entire dinner’s-worth of the Other White Meat, even drinks and dessert.

I’m not sure why (and I’m not complaining), but several restaurants have decided to dedicate the month of March to pork. If you think you can handle it, you may want to think about reserving a table at Jose Garces’ Amada in Old City for March 25. Garces will host the restaurant’s first-ever Pig Out, an all-you-can-eat suckling pig fest. The restaurant’s signature dish is usually only available to more than four guests (and you have to give at least 72 hours notice), but on March 25 for just $55 per person (or $75 for bottomless sangria), you can enjoy the restaurant’s prized dish and eat as much of it as you want! Other courses, side dishes and dessert will be included as well. Reservations are a must for one of two seatings: 4-5:30 p.m. or 7-8:30 p.m. Call (215) 625-2450 to make a reservation.

At Isabella in Conshohocken, chef Michael Cappon is celebrating the month with his “For the Love of Pork” menu, a six-course pork-centric menu offered Sunday through Thursday for $35. The menu includes jamón Ibérico, a thinly sliced cured Spanish ham served with crusty bread, crispy pig cheeks with polenta and aged balsamic, olive oil-marinated pork tenderloin and a warm apple tart with what else? Homemade bacon ice cream. To top it off, try a glass of Isabella’s bacon-infused Maker’s Mark for $7.50. Call (484) 532-7470 to make a reservation.
