Chestnut Hill’s Mica Restaurant Now Offers Sunday Brunch

This cozy Philadelphia restaurant is known for its stellar food, so you can imagine how delicious Chef Chip Roman’s brunch must be. Here’s a taste.

Ever since I had a fantastic meal at Mica when it first opened, I’ve wanted to go back to Chestnut Hill for round two. This time, I may try brunch, which Chef Chip Roman is now offering on Sundays. Start with a house-made sangria or Bloody Mary, a fresh-squeezed mimosa or glass of refreshing juice. As for the food, Roman’s menu is seasonal and locally driven, with classic, comforting dishes and a refined touch that’s truly Roman. Try the brioche French toast with caramelized apples and applewood-smoked bacon; buttermilk pancakes with pumpkin butter and Chantilly cream; steak and eggs made with beef short ribs, grits and fried egg; or wild mushroom ravioli with shiitake and chives. The menu features plenty of side dishes, too, and main plates range $10-$15. 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Call (267) 335-3912 or visit micarestaurant.com.
