Did you know that May is National Hamburger Month? Well, now you do and who doesn’t love a good burger? To celebrate this month for meat lovers, a few area restaurants are taking advantage and offering some special, “burger-fied” menu options.
Once again, Iron Hill is taking National Burger Month very seriously, offering a different burger for each day of the month. Thinking of heading to Iron Hill today? On May 8, chow down on the South Philly Burger, with broccoli rabe, roasted long hot peppers and provolone and Asiago cheeses. The following day, you can enjoy the PittsBurger topped with prosciutto, provolone, sautéed spinach and caramelized onions. Visit ironhillbrewery.com for more information.
Paramour in the Wayne Hotel is also getting in on the action. Each day during the month of day, stop in for lunch and choose from one of six (huge) burgers like the Lean and Mean buffalo burger with chipotle aioli, pea shoots, Asiago chip and pickled onions or the Aussie Blue Burger made with local beef, blue cheese, pickled beets and pineapple and a fried egg. There are even beer pairing recommendations for each burger, but the restaurant’s homemade milkshake is a perfect accompaniment too. paramourwayne.com.
