Consider yourself an adventurous eater? As part of Morris Arboretum’s current Big Bugs exhibit, they’re taking bold dining to a venturesome, new level with an upcoming food pairing that showcases creepy crawlers on the dinner menu.

Slated to unfold on Wednesday, July 17, 6–8 p.m. with the help of chef Josh Hunter of Company’s Coming Catering, locals will have the opportunity to devour a rare tasting designed around select, nature-sourced delicacies. Teasers of the obscure tasting menu include cricket fritters, teriyaki glazed hissing cockroach brochettes and silkworm pupae summer rolls.

Guests will learn the science behind the latest, sustainable dining trend as they sample through the arboretum’s Big Bug tasting stations, even learning the surprising nutritious benefits of each creature. Beer and wine pairings will also be apart of the experience.
