Conshohocken’s small-batch chocolate boutique, Tradestone Confections, is stepping up its warm-weather plate by launching a new series of seasonal flavors.

Now in stock at the cocoa-splashed shop on Fayette Street, as concocted by former Le Bec-Fin pastry chef Fred Ortega, are an assortment of farmers market-inspired truffles that fare with with fans of juicy summer berries, bursts of fresh citrus and aromatic herbs.

A teaser at the new Summer Assortment release includes the mango lime truffle, which infuses dreamy white chocolate with the captivating and punchy flavors of ripe mango and lime juice. Tradestone is dubbing this ruby mouthful a “tropical vacation in one bite.”

The new strawberry verbena truffle is a decadent stroll in the garden, with the strawberries picked for the recipe at the peak of their perfumed sweetness. Swirled with rich white chocolate, aside lemon-forward verbena leaves, the fruit and herbal variety is light and vibrant—enchanting you with every last nibble.

The singular raspberry truffle terrifically marries the classic partnership of fresh berries with chocolate. With the just-picked, tart raspberries to mellow out the richness of the high-grade cocoa, you can’t have just one of this well-balanced jewel.

Additional seasonal chocolates of the Tradestone’s summertime roster include the double mint, with cool layers of fresh mint woven between swirls of milk and dark chocolate; an Earl Grey rendition, with the herbal notes of the tea matched with dark chocolate and hints of orange; the pistachio citrus with its enticing combo of buttery nuts and lemony citrus; and the Tahitian vanilla, a masterful blend of sweet and exotic.
