West Chester Craft Beer Festival Returns on June 22

Now in its third year, the festival brings some of the area’s top breweries and cideries to the borough.

The West Chester Craft Beer Festival returns for its third year on June 22. The event, which runs from 1-5 p.m., will take place on the grounds of the historic Charles A. Melton Center and highlights some of the region’s best breweries.

Look for two-ounce pours in an exclusive souvenir glass from 50 local breweries and cideries including 2SP Brewing Company, Evil Genius Beer Company, Levante Brewing Company, Conshohocken Brewing, Southern Tier, Weyerbacher Brewing, Sterling Pig Brewery, Double Nickel Brewing Company, Rebel Seed Cidery and Graft Cidery.

There will also be food trucks and vendors including The Cow and the Curd, Rize Pizza, Mas Mexicali Cantina and Rams Head Bar and Grill. Merchandise from Righteous Felon Craft Jerky, Rogue Popcorn, One Village Coffee, Hop Headz Gear and Old Havana Cigar Company will be available in tents, as well.

Keeping with the vibe, Grass ‘n Gravel will perform live acoustic jams throughout the day. Also keep an eye out for adorable—and adoptable—cuddly canines from the Brandywine Valley SPCA.

“The beer festival marks the beginning of summer activities and programs at the Melton Center,” says Lisa Dorsey, president of the board of directors. Over 1,500 people are expected to attend the event, which is 21 and over. VIP tickets are $50 and include early admission at 12 p.m. and general admission tickets are $40. Designated driver tickets are available for $5. All tickets must be purchased in advance.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Melton Center’s summer STEAM camp, youth basketball programs and summer dance program.
