What better way to celebrate everyone’s favorite fall fall fruit than by learning the ins and outs of hard apple cider production? Tickets are going fast to join Dressler Estate at the Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College on Nov. 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. for a delicious and informative evening: “Hard Cider: The Journey from Orchard to Glass.”
Brian and Olga Dressler of Downingtown’s Dressler Estate will offer information about apple growing, hard cider production and the proper way to taste cider. They’ll offer a glimpse into their winemaker’s approach to making cider, which begins with a femented blend of sweets and tarts pressed by Kauffman’s Fruit Farm in Lancaster County.
Attendees will also get to try curated samples of Pennsylvania’s crispest ciders, including Dressler Estate’s first release, Modern Still, which boasts bright, fruity aromas, floral notes and balanced acidity. There will also be light snacks.
Tickets are $30 for members and $40 for non-members.
