During lockdown, many of us created a stronger bond with our pups from being home more often or working from home. Now that things are changing a bit, we don’t want to leave our pets home alone! This is why Craft Hall opened up a one-of-a-kind beer garden and dog park in Philadelphia.
Unleashed Bark and Beer offers dog cocktails, special drinks for their owners, yappy hours, dog biscuits by the famous Lost Bread Co., contactless ordering, beverage service and a brand-new puppy porch for dinner with your pup.
Philadelphia’s Craft Hall added this expansion to create a space where people can enjoy an afternoon or evening out with the entire family, four-legged children and all. The off-leash area, Unleashed, is strictly beverages only. Waitstaff delivers cocktails to ensure the safety of the pets. This area holds around 20-30 guests at a time. The Puppy Porch is a separate area to bring your leashed dog along for a nice lunch or dinner and holds 40-plus guests.
“Craft Hall offers delicious, house-smoked BBQ, ranging from (my personal favorite) our black-pepper brisket to smoked eggplant. In addition, we offer amazing pizzas with Lost Bread Co. pizza dough, which is made right on premise! Appetizers, sandwiches and a children’s menu are also available,” notes Neina Langford, the Events & Promotions Director at FCM Hospitality.
The hours for both operations will be the same as Craft Hall’s normal hours, Friday 4-11 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.-11 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-10 p.m. all year round.
There will also be special events such as pet adoption events. Every final Friday of the month, guests can stop by for Unleashed Yappy Hours featuring specialty dog and human cocktails that are definitely worth a try. Some of the human cocktails include a peach BARKarita (Patron silver, triple sec, fresh lime juice and peach puree), an American Mutt (Tito’s, fresh lime juice and ginger beer) and a Virgin Colada or Cucumber Fresca mocktail. Some dog cocktails include Barkberry, Puppy Colada or the Puppy Power Smoothie.
