Conshohocken Brewing Company Opens New Brewpub in Bridgeport

Share

After just two years of brewing and churning out some of the area’s best beers, Conshohocken Brewing Company, is expanding. The brewing company is opening a full-service restaurant this week in Bridgeport, just five miles from its wildly popular tasting room and production brewery in Conshohocken.

Chef Justin Henning, whose résumé includes a stint at Bridgeport’s Taphouse 23, will be running the kitchen. The menu features small bites and appetizers including truffle fries, wings, nachos and Bavarian soft pretzels; burgers and chicken sandwiches; tacos including fish and steak varieties; and larger entrées.

The brewpub features 12 rotating taps and boasts both upstairs and downstairs seating areas, in addition to a patio. Beers will be made by head brewer Andrew Horne, who will use the brewpub’s smaller three-barrel brew system to test out small-batch beers. CBC’s core beers, like its IPA and award-winning Puddlers Row ESB, will also be available at the second location.

One of the most popular attractions of CBC’s original locale is its position right off of the Schuylkill River Trail, with joggers and bikers frequently stopping in for a pint. The new spot in Bridgeport is also positioned off the trail, sure to make it a welcome stop.
