Great things come to those who wait and Braeloch Brewing has finally announced a soft opening on March 1, followed by a grand opening the weekend of March 8.
The brewery has been years in the making. Owners Kent and Amy Steeves and Matt and Kathy Drysdale gutted a historic building in Kennett Square, working to maintain its architectural integrity, to bring their vision to life. “Getting a dedicated water supply and sprinkler system took several months and blending the history of the building with an updated casual vibe was high on our list of goals,” explains Kent Steeves.
The 4,000 square-foot tap room is accented by stylistic whitewashed brick walls and a large brewery logo and features stone-sealed flooring, community tables, booths and a whimsical serpentine bar designed by Kent’s brother, Brett.
Located a stone’s throw from the already successful Creamery, the Braeloch team feels that southern Chester County is solidifying its mark as a beer lovers destination. “We wanted to create a space where people could relax, converse, play games and enjoy quality brew with exceptional food,” Kent adds.
The brewery host food trucks and catering until the onsite kitchen is up and running in spring. Expect shareable gourmet cuisine, plus entrees.

In addtion to brews, Braeloch will offer local wines from Penns Woods Winery and anticipates having ciders and spirits in the future.
Grand opening weekend will feature brewery tours, live music and giveaways. Giant Jenga and corn hole will keep the crowds engaged with custom-built tabletop shuffleboard coming this summer.
