2SP to Host Pop-Up Beer Garden at Tyler Arboretum

The Aston brewery is teaming up with Audubon Pennsylvania for the Nov. 17 event.

2SP Brewing Company is embracing the region’s final wave of fall foliage for its upcoming pop-up beer garden at Media’s Tyler Arboretum. On Nov. 17, the Aston-based craft brewery will offer locally brewed beer for visitors to sip as they explore the 650-acre public garden.

During the event, visitors will also be able to meet members of the National Audubon Society’s Pennsylvania chapter, who will point out different species of birds, as well as discuss conservation efforts.

While this isn’t the first time 2SP has hosted a pop-up beer garden at the arboretum, this is the first time the brewery has gotten Audubon Pennsylvania involved. “I thought it would be cool to do the pop-up again, but to have something else with it,” says Michael Contreras, director of sales and marketing for 2SP. “You’re not just sitting in a park enjoying beer—the Audubon Society is there to show you a different way to be in the park and experience the space.”

In addition to the five or six drafts Contreras says they plan to pour, 2SP will also sell cans of its Circadian IPA, a New England-style IPA that features artwork by John James Audubon, the 19th century ornithologist and painter from whom the National Audubon Society was named.

The beer garden will be open from 12 to 4 p.m., and will feature Greek and Mediterranean cuisine from local food truck, Phyllodelphia. Both the park and beer garden will be open to all ages. Children are free and adult admission is $5. Food and drinks are pay-as-you-go.
