Now in its 18th year, the Manayunk BBQ, Bourbon and Blues Festival will offer a four hour tasting events of more than 70 craft beers made by some of the best local breweries. The fun unfolds at Manayunk Brewing Company (4120 Main St.) on Saturday, April 23, from 1–5 p.m.
Joining the festivities will be the aptly named blues group, The Fermentors, who are back for their third year at the festival, performing live throughout the afternoon.
Besides craft beer, different bourbons will be available to sample, as will whole pig pulled pork and other barbeque foods.
General admission to the festival is $50 and includes unlimited craft beer samples in a souvenir tasting glass, multiple bourbon samples and an event program listing of all the beers. For $60 per person, upgrade to the VIP experience, which also includes early entry at 12 p.m. with access to limited release and rare beers, additional top shelf bourbon samples during VIP hour, a custom t-shirt and a complimentary barbeque food item to help soak up those tasty brews. Designated driver tickets are available for $25 per person and include unlimited soft drinks and a complimentary barbeque food item.
