Late last year Conshohocken’s Italian mainstay, Totaro’s, bid its farewell to the local dining scene, and Stone Rose’s Brian Pieri announced that he had purchased the space for his newest concept, Bar Lucca.
Totaro’s—not to be confused with Spring Mill Ave.’s Trattoria Totaro—had a successful 51-year-old run along Hector Street, building its solid reputation among Main Line diners through word-of-mouth, who came to seek out the approachable restaurant for everything from casual nights out to special occasions.
As of late August, Pieri will bring life to the former hot spot as he ushers in a his brand-new Italian concept—one featuring a Mediterranean-style kitchen with small plates, house-made pasta, artisan breads and brick-oven pizza. Will Langlois, formerly of the Garces Group’s Distrito, will act as executive chef. The beverage program will be equally appealing, hosting a strong, adventurous wine list.
Stay tuned for the official opening date.
