Di Bruno Bros. celebrates its second year in Wayne, and Bar Alimentari upholds the elegance desired by Main Line residents.
Wayne’s torrid love affair with Di Bruno Bros. is now entering its second year, and word is definitely out about Bar Alimentari’s elegant marble-topped bar and cafe tables. A takeoff on the upstairs original in the Rittenhouse location, Alimentari is at the center of everything in Wayne. It’s the perfect spot for a work meeting or playing catch-up with friends (as if you needed an excuse to linger longer at Di Bruno’s).
Executive chef April Hyers steers the kitchen with precise presentations of soups, salads, Roman pizzas and a shortlist of elevated small plates. Our spicy sausage rigatoni had just the right bite, and the pan-seared octopus paired perfectly with the house rosé (a Pennsylvania collaboration with Galen Glen Winery). The overall excellence of the curated charcuterie board goes without saying, and the gelato is a velvety-cool treat.
The bar’s cocktail list is punctuated with assorted sours, mules and spritzes. Peruse the on-site bottle shop on your way out. Then grab some caviar, truffles or smoked fish for the road.
