Holiday cocktails always seem to get us in the mood for grabbing heirloom decorations out of the attic, sharing stories, making new friends and trying new recipes.
We asked Fearless Restaurants Beverage Director Len Boris to shake up (and share with you) a couple of his secret holiday cocktail recipes.
The F-Pom is a crowd pleaser and boasts a bubbly finish, while the Cool Honey Bunny blends a touch of sweet with the power of bourbon. Both promise to welcome that holiday spirit.
¾ oz. Irvine’s American Dry Gin (can sub any American dry gin)
¼ oz. Boardroom Spirits Ginger Vodka
¾ oz. cinnamon honey syrup (see recipe below)
½ oz. pomegranate juice
½ oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice
Add ice, shake, then strain into a martini or similarly stemmed glass.
Top with dry sparkling wine or Prosecco.
Garnish with cranberries on a spear of rosemary, and expressed lemon peel.
½ cup hot water
½ cup honey
2 cinnamon sticks
Steep cinnamon sticks in the hot water for 3 minutes. Stir in the honey. Strain, store, and label.
In shaker, add ice.
1 ¼ oz. Jim Beam Bourbon
¾ oz. Averna
¾ oz. cayenne honey simple (see recipe below)
¾ oz. lemon juice
Shake, strain over ice into a highball tumbler.
Garnish with a brûléed half orange wheel.
½ c hot water
½ c honey
¼ t cayenne
Stir to combine.
Strain, store, and label.
Pull up a chair at the bar (where vintage vinyl and celebrity photos cover the walls) in Autograph Brasserie to sip these Holiday cocktails, or go bold and make them at home. Cheers for a wonderful season!
