Holiday cocktails always seem to get us in the mood for grabbing heirloom decorations out of the attic, sharing stories, making new friends and trying new recipes.
We asked Fearless Restaurants Beverage Director Len Boris to shake up (and share with you) a couple of his secret holiday cocktail recipes.
The F-Pom is a crowd pleaser and boasts a bubbly finish, while the Cool Honey Bunny blends a touch of sweet with the power of bourbon. Both promise to welcome that holiday spirit.
F-Pom Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients:
¾ oz. Irvine’s American Dry Gin (can sub any American dry gin)
¼ oz. Boardroom Spirits Ginger Vodka
¾ oz. cinnamon honey syrup (see recipe below)
½ oz. pomegranate juice
½ oz. fresh squeezed lemon juice
Method:
Add ice, shake, then strain into a martini or similarly stemmed glass.
Top with dry sparkling wine or Prosecco.
Garnish with cranberries on a spear of rosemary, and expressed lemon peel.
Cinnamon Honey Simple Syrup Recipe
Ingredients:
½ cup hot water
½ cup honey
2 cinnamon sticks
Method:
Steep cinnamon sticks in the hot water for 3 minutes. Stir in the honey. Strain, store, and label.
Cool Honey Bunny Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients:
In shaker, add ice.
1 ¼ oz. Jim Beam Bourbon
¾ oz. Averna
¾ oz. cayenne honey simple (see recipe below)
¾ oz. lemon juice
Method:
Shake, strain over ice into a highball tumbler.
Garnish with a brûléed half orange wheel.
Cayenne Honey Simple Syrup Recipe
Ingredients:
½ c hot water
½ c honey
¼ t cayenne
Method:
Stir to combine.
Strain, store, and label.
