A talented new chef is now calling Ardmore’s Saint James’ kitchen his own. Restaurateur Michael Schulson recently welcomed Sylva Senat, the former Tashan executive chef, to join his culinary ranks—a kitchen residence that previously belonged to former Talula’s Table chef Matt Moon.
Senat already has an acclaimed career already under his belt, his resume packed with stints at Marcus Samuelsson’s Aquavit, throughout Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s circuit, and at New York and Philadelphia’s Buddakan. Early 2013, he competed in the Atlantic City-based Supreme Asian Chef Culinary Battles, nabbing the annual “America’s #1 Asian Chef” title.
This isn’t the first time Senat will be collaborating with Schulson either. He rubbed kitchen elbows with him back when Schulson acted as New York City’s Buddakan’s executive chef.
Over time, Senat will debut a revamped menu at the mod-American bistro. In the meantime, catch the Haitian-born chef reigning over Suburban Square.
