The second annual A Taste of Kennett fundraiser will take place March 22 from 7-10 p.m. in the loft of the Holly Peters Rug Studio in downtown Kennett Square. The food-centric event will benefit local nonprofit, After-the-Bell, an after-school program for area middle school students.
“This is the second year in a row that our A Taste of Kennett event has sold out. We are so grateful to the community for their extraordinary support of this free after-school program,” says After-the-Bell director Dawn Doherty Kohl. “The successful long-standing program has helped us transform the lives of young members in our community for over 20 years.” Since its inception in 1998, the organization has served over 5,700 students.
This year’s event will feature popular establishments including Back Burner, Country Butcher, Grain Craft Bar & Kitchen, Hood’s BBQ, Kennett Brewing Company, The Landenberg Store, La Verona, Neuchatel Chocolates, Sovana Bistro and Talula’s Table sampling their cuisine.
Wine will be provided by Frank’s Wine, plus there will be a wine tasting from Harvest Ridge Winery. Beer will be available from Kennett Brewing and specialty vodka cocktails will be poured by West Branch Distilling Company.
The event also includes live music and a silent auction.
