Popular breakfast and lunch spot, First Watch, already has locations in Newtown Square, Villanova and Wynnewood, and will soon add another spot to it reportoire. Construction is underway at the Fairfield Place Shopping Center in Exton for this newest location, which is expected to open in early 2019. Look for seasonal superfood bowls, power wraps, omelettes, frittatas and fresh cage-free eggs done any way you can imagine.

After months of delays, the highly anticipated Whole Foods Market in Newtown Square will debut on Jan. 18. The 51,000 square-foot store will feature grab-and-go prepared foods, as well as natural and organic grocery items. Inside, the Darby Creek Cafe will offer 12 local beers on tap, a curated selection of wine and cocktails and a pub-inspired menu. The butcher will have a dry-aging room with whiskey dry-aged meats, in-house sausages and a new ready-to-cook stir fry selection.

Family-owned and operated, Brandywine Valley Bread has expanded from the Eagleview and Downingtown farmers markets to a brick and mortar in the Downingtown borough. The popularity of bouleis, baguettes, pastries and signature breakfast buns propelled owner Fran McLaughlin the opportunity to meet demand in this new neighborhood location.

Tom and Shannon Brown have revamped the interior of the former Nudy’s Cafe in Eagleview Town Center. The duo are bringing a diverse breakfast and lunch menu to the spot, with avocado toast, omelettes, chicken and waffles, skillet dishes, sammies, soups and salads. Go for the healthy cauliflower home fries or try a pile of crispy scrapple fries.

Debuting its first Pennsylvania location, Oath Pizza is now open in Ardmore’s Suburban Square. The Boston-based pizza concept—the first ever “certified humane” pizza chain in the the country—is known for its grilled and seared avocado oil thin crust and ethically sourced, natural ingredients. The menu includes the banh mi pizza, niman ranch pulled pork and the fall forager salad. The restaurant seats 22 and also offers a unique craft soda from Stubborn.
