6 Farmers Markets and Food Festivals to Check Out this May

Late spring means one thing: fresh local produce.

 

Spring Harvest

Beginning May 3, Eagleview Farmers Market at Eagleview Town Center is open 2-6 p.m. every Thursday. Downingtown Farmers Market sets up shop Saturdays at Kerr Park from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. starting May 5. That same day, Swarthmore Farmers Market makes its annual debut at 121 Park Ave. It’s open Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. And coming May 10: the East Goshen Farmers Market Thursdays 3-7 p.m. at East Goshen Township Park.

Beer Buzz

On May 12, Phoenixville Beer & Wine Festival brings more than 200 craft beers, wines, meads, ciders and spirits to the Kimberton Fairgrounds. Tickets are $40; proceeds benefit Building Better Neighborhoods.

More Food-Truck Fun

Chaddsford Winery’s Food Truck Throwdown returns May 19-20, promising seriously good eats, local wines and live music. Dine on treats from some of the area’s best food trucks, then vote for your favorite. It’s all pay as you go.
