Farm to Flower Dinner at Terrain

Following Terrain’s annual Dig into Spring festival, its restaurant, Terrain Garden Cafe, continues to welcome the season at its Farm to Flower dinner, a night of floral artistry highlighting the area’s best farmers, florists and floral designers. Sip on cocktails from New Liberty Distillery and sit down to a dinner of garden-inspired fare. Admire the installations from the florists in attendance and get your picture snapped at the Tiny Tin Photo Booth. Tickets are $85 per person and reservations are required.

MAIDO! Japanese Spring Festival

In Japan, spring marks a new beginning. To celebrate locally, MAIDO! is hosting its event on April 21, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., complete with traditional Japanese food and drink samples. Offerings include matcha sweet lattes, home-style sushi, Japanese paella, healthy tofu shirataki ramen and Japanese curry.

Highland Orchards Earth Day

Celebrate spring and Earth Day at Highland Orchards on April 22, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The festivities include learning about where your food comes from, kid-friendly activities like a growing tour through the farm ($5) and a planting activity. While there, peruse local, earth-friendly vendors. Cultinate Greens of Kennett Square will sell local veggies and microgreens, Baba’s Brew will have an abundance of small-craft batches of fizzy kombucha, and Cave Bird Coffee will serve better-than-fair-trade coffee from Uganda.

Food Truck Craze Food Truck Festival

Kick off Food Truck Craze’s first food truck festival of the season on April 28, at the Shoppes at Valley Forge in Phoenixville from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Admission and parking are free, and the tantalizing food selections are pay-as-you-go. Enjoy barbecue, comfort food and dessert from 20 trucks, including Gigi’s and Big R, Uncle B’s BBQ Shack, Wow Wagon, and Cajun-Sno, plus vegetarian vendors.

Sugar and Slice at Chaddsford Winery

When it comes to pairings, Chaddsford Winery is a pro. This month, they’re dishing up irresistable pairings featuring donuts and pizza. Sugar and Slice will combine pear and blue cheese pizza with barrel select Chardonnay and Chaddsford White, taco pizza with Sangri-La Sangria and the Red Standard, plus key lime pie donuts with Spring Wine and Sauvignon Blanc, and chocolate raspberry donuts with Chaddsford Red and Fusion. Pairings will be offered every Saturday and Sunday now through April 22. Tickets are $20 online or $25 at the door.
