3 Foodie Events to Put on Your Calendar This February

Girl Scout Cookie pairings and romantic Valentine’s Day events are must-dos this month.

Girl Scout Cookie Month in Manayunk

This time of the year, Girl Scouts and their teal vests are a fixture outside grocery stores and in our neighborhoods, selling their tasty cookies. The Manayunk Development Corporation is doing its part with its Girl Scout Cookie Month, which benefits local troops. Throughout February, you can visit participating restaurants in Manayunk to taste exclusive cookie dishes and cocktails. Last year’s creations included Bourbon Blue’s Caramel Delight Decadence cocktail and a beer-flight-and-cookie pairing by SOMO. Our favorite: the Peppermint Painkiller featuring Thin Mints, courtesy of Lucky’s Last Chance.

Make Your Own Dough Nights at Cerdo

Spanish-inspired Cerdo is hosting a romantic night of drinking, eating and learning the art of forming dough for pizzas and pasta. Chef Will Langlois is orchestrating the event, which takes place Feb. 11-12 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sessions are $70 per person and include hors d’oeuvres, wine—and, of course, plenty of fresh dough.
