In the very traditional village of Anatevka, a fictitious town based on those in early 1900 Russia, a poor milkman named Tevye lives with his family. As times are changing and their customs are being questioned, Tevye struggles to hold onto his ideals and values. Fiddler on the Roof questions the boundaries of tradition, class, religion and love through a beautiful and heartbreaking journey of one family.
