Priscilla Mattison, Esq.

Of Counsel, Bernard M. Resnick, Esq., P.C.

Entertainment was always going to be a part of Priscilla Mattison’s life, though perhaps not exactly how she expected. Prior to her law career, she studied the film and television industries in Berlin and worked in movie production and music in New York, before transitioning to Los Angeles to focus on feature films. “I think it’s been really helpful to have that kind of creative background and familiarity with the creative process and the way businesses making entertainment content operate,” says the Bryn Mawr resident.

As an entertainment lawyer practicing in Bala Cynwyd with her husband, Bernard M. Resnick, she works on the transactional side of the entertainment industry. Their primary focus is on music, along with film, TV and the arts. Clients are based all over the globe. One day, they might be helping a British recording artist license her work in the United States. On another, they’re ensuring that a German record label is paid for its music.

Mattison is also a member of the Philadelphia Film Advisory Task Force, and though she doesn’t practice environmental or conservation law, she’s interested in both. She’s worked for the Clean Air Council and served on the Radnor Township Environmental Advisory Council.

Looking to the future, Mattison hopes to collaborate with other attorneys to develop ecologically friendly initiatives in the film and music industries. “I’ve lived in places like New York, where there wasn’t enough nature there for me,” she says. “I really value having it around.”
