More than 700 guests enjoyed two days of fine wines and great food at the Main Line Today Food & Wine Affair Sept. 19 and 26, 2014. Held at the Desmond Hotel, the two-day event featured an array of offerings to satisfy a variety of tastes. We always look forward to an evening—or two—filled with opportunities to indulge. Next year, we hope it includes you!
Held on Sept. 19, the Winemakers’ Dinner featured a luscious seven-course meal prepared by Desmond chef Chris Calhoun—each offering carefully paired with exquisite wines. Popular regional act the Britton Brothers provided live music.
Sept. 26’s Grand Tasting spotlighted over 100 wines from around the world, with specialty foods from some of the area’s top restaurants. Guests enjoyed a night filled with endless pours and delectable nibbles
Main Line Today donated a portion of the proceeds from its Food & Wine Affair to the Chester County Food Bank, a nonprofit organization that collects, grows, processes, stores and distributes food to those who serve the hungry.
The Main Line Today Food & Wine Affair wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of sponsors like BMW of Devon, Celebrity Cruises, Dr. Jonathan Scharf, Penn Medicine Valley Forge and other local businesses.
