Power Women: Jennaphr Frederick

Twenty-one of the Main Line’s most successful and influential women share their secrets to success.

“I’ve done it all here,” says Gladwyne’s Jennaphr Frederick. “I’ll do whatever I can to help my team win.”

The team to which she’s referring is the one behind FOX 29’s Good Day Philadelphia morning show. Before most of us are awake, Frederick is prepping for her daily segments, whether they involve serious news or something more fun, like wakeboarding in the back bays of Avalon. “They let you be who you are,” says Frederick of her 13-year tenure with the station. “Viewers see the real me.”

Away from the camera, Frederick volunteers for various nonprofits, including the Mommy’s Light Lives On Fund and the HEADstrong Foundation. “These organizations need someone to shout about them, and I’m a paid shouter,” she says. “I understand that when I shout about something, more people might be listening. I take that responsibility very seriously.”
