Next year, Lea Anne Welsh will celebrate 25 years with Korman Communities. She arrived at the family-owned real estate company straight out of La Salle University, and she never left. “I stayed because of the entrepreneurial environment,” says Welsh. “There’s always something new and challenging.”
Welsh has worked her way up through the ranks at Korman, taking on more opportunities and challenges in different markets. She’s been on the executive committee since 2004, and she currently serves a dual role as COO of Korman Communities and president of its AVE brand. “We’re focused on acquiring multifamily assets and developing multifamily real estate,” says the Plymouth Meeting resident. “We specialize in extended-stay, furnished accommodations.”
As Welsh oversees 24 properties, with 10 additional locations in the works, her priority remains to grow the company. “We’re looking to go into other major cities,” she says.
